In the early spring of 2023, several friends joined together by a shared history of music making and education, met to catch-up and reminisce about past years of band together. The many ensuing conversations have led to the creation of Markham Winds. It is the brainchild of the current board of directors who desire to create a space for music-making and community-building within the Markham area for musicians young and old.
Markham Winds had its inaugural season in 2023-2024.
